welcome to the big city.

We've lived in San Francisco for two days. The movers haven't even brought our things yet. And last night, somebody broke into our empty apartment.

It sounds like a bad joke but it's not. Bradee's brand-new 15" Powerbook and our camcorder are gone.

The Powerbook has a lot of personal data on it, including all the information surrounding Bradee's father's funeral (hadn't mentioned that one here; it's been a hell of a month). The camcorder has the last footage we shot of our Virginia house, and of course a bunch of important-to-us kid stuff.

I'm sure we'll never see the camcorder again. But there are a lot of Mac users in San Francisco, and a lot of them are bloggers. So I'm posting the serial number here: W844203SQHY. If you live in the Bay area, please pass this post around -- who knows, maybe somebody will find a great deal on a Powerbook that happens to be ours.
