I was just talking to my brother -- a long time Mac guy -- about his new G5 at work. "OSX rocks", he said, "and by the way, what's the command to ssh from a terminal?".

How'd that happen? Apple has lapped itself and brought the command line back to the Mac user. Now they just need another mouse button.

In other geek-ass news, my Treo 600 showed up this weekend. I had my last cell phone for probably four years, and until yesterday my PDA was the first one I ever bought, a Handspring Visor Deluxe. (I chose Handspring becuase I could get an orange one. Thanks.) That was also about three years ago. And they both still work fine so I feel bad replacing them. But the Treo is pretty sexah. Even if I look like a tool carrying it.
