It's 8:15 on Sunday and I'm at work. After XML Schema caused blood to leak out of my eyes Friday, I said "hey, I need me some more of that!" so I've been here all day. Coding -- no XML today to speak of. Thankfully.
So now spammers are leaving messages full of exciting hyperlinks in my blog comments. It's not enough that I get 200+ spam emails every day. It's not enough that I get hundreds of bounces a week thanks to spammers forging my domain in their return address. No, now we need to crap all over my lovingly crafted website too.
Dear Mr. Spammer, YOU PATHETIC BOTTOM-FEEDING FUCK. Get a goddamn job.
Given how many comments I get, I should probably just shut down the comments section. But I want love. Just a little. Yes, a little love would be enough.
There's already a Movable Type blacklist plugin; the MT people are trying to figure out what to do, and there are some clever tactics for shuffling your MT config around to confound spambots for another week or whatever. But I can't really motivate to do any of them... I've already spent enough time dicking with anti-spam technology. Instead I've decided that I will curl up in a ball and cry until the bad spam people go away.
