guns and stuff.
I just got back from a day at the IACP conference in Philadelphia. The IACP is the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and this is apparently the big kahuna of cop trade shows. My company is exhibiting there because we write software for public safety agencies.
The show is huge. Row after row after row of vendors. On display: helicopters(!), guns, body armor, ammo, tazers, armored Hummers, SWAT vehicles, riot shields, more guns, training dummies, police Harleys, a hovercraft, driving simulators.
And one guy sitting in a small booth selling blimps. You go.
It's pretty amazing to see how much industry we have created around the fact that people break the law.
Which reminds me, the MPAA had a booth. They were handing out "video piracy is illegal" literature. An amusing juxtaposition.
