man, i had 200 days uptime on the fileserver.

Isabel left us in the dark for about 48 hours... not enough time to be more than an inconvenience, but enough time to remind me about the importance of electricity.

That's right kids, we need electricity! You heard it here first.

Since the big promo CD mailing, I've pretty much neglected Wordclock. But the other day I got an email from a writer for a small Arkansas paper. The paper had stopped printing CD reviews; he was sorry but he would at least print a blurb about the album's existence somewhere in the paper. Fair enough, that was cool of him. Then I guess he popped the CD in his player, because I got a nice followup email, obviously written without a lot of editing:

my god this is incredible the emotive quality of the music is potent, i love that transcendent otherworldly effect it gives your heart, much like listening to epic trance music (only without the dance beat), jesus this is good shit.

Ah, a review straight from the heart without any of the usual intellectual posturing. Made me smile.
