So Scott, what's "running your own label" like?
So far it consists of burning a lot of CD-Rs, designing and printing stickers to stick on demos, designing press sheets, picking lint out of my inkjet to print clean publicity photos, making phone calls, and in general staying up late a lot but NEVER MAKING MUSIC. I've pretty much forgotten what "writing music" is like. Yet we're still without distro or licensing. I must be doing something wrong.
On the other hand, if you listened closely while drooling at the TV last month, you might have heard a Beauty remix in the background of a "Dinotopia" trailer on ABC. So that's neat in a "didn't expect that" kind of way.
And Plink's been rehearsing for live shows and we sound good. And there's a plink website with a couple of newly available songs. Feedback is welcome.
